Who’s the Mexican?

Honestly, I forgot about this video so before I began this post, I watched it and it brought me to tears of laughter. I forgot I did an actual voice-over with a movie script.

My parents immigrated to the US in the 70s, so in order to obtain a descent job, they would attend night school to learn English. This was in addition to taking care of two toddlers and working 8-12 hours shifts. Understandably, during class, they were exhausted and unfocused. In contrast I went to low class public school, where my education was less than mediocre. I had no motivating teachers nor programs that gave me the hunger to learn. I just went because I had to. In fact, I had to redo all my high school education in college, just to get in to the prerequisite classes. My 2 year associates degree took me eight. I was so unfocused and lacked discipline.

Anyway, I’m the teacher in this video, and Tito the chihuahua is the immigrant learning in class.
