One of the challenges I have as a Bible student is distinguishing promises from principals, so in my quest I searched for resources to answer this question, and it lead me back to basic principal #1 from the late Dr. Charles Stanley, which I thought I had mastered years ago. As a baby hungry Christian, Dr. Stanley was one of my main teachers on how to walk a Christian life. It’s been years since I’ve heard his teaching because I was influenced by someone who made an accurate observation about him, that persuaded me to stop hearing his teachings all together.
I’ve learned that in the body of Christ, I’m supposed to make room for mistakes and not be judgemental and critical, unless that person grossly violates the Word of God. When I heard this lesson, I was deeply convicted and it broke my heart as I created this video at how hypocritical and superficial I’ve been with time and communion with Christ in my prayers. I learned what it means to have an intimate relationship our Lord the correct my mistakes and I’m in total agreement.
